Raise your pre-seed faster, and on better terms. We compress 3–6 months of fundraising into two days — giving you the knowledge, playbooks and process to close your round.
Investors are more cautious, slower to deploy and expect stronger traction when investing than previous years. Founders require more clarity, structure and execution than ever before.
A successful pre-seed round depends on four things: understanding how VCs think, a fundraising strategy built around your venture, investor-ready documents, and a process that closes. By the end of the two days, you'll have them.
Think like a VC, not just talk to one. Understand how venture capital actually works — the fund model, the partner motivations, the metrics that matter — so you can position your startup the way investors are wired to evaluate it.
Know exactly who to raise from — and how to reach them. Map the full early-stage capital landscape (angels, family offices, VCs, corporates, grants), prioritise the investors most likely to back you, build an investor pipeline, and pick the outreach channel and strategy that fits.
Build documents that actually convert. Structure your investment deck around the narrative arc that wins meetings, and prepare a data room that signals professionalism and transparency — both reviewed and refined with expert guidance.
Run a process that closes. Phases, timing, follow-ups and momentum — you walk out with a repeatable end-to-end fundraising process and the tactics to execute it cleanly from first investor email to closed round.
Understand the game. Target the right investors. Prepare your materials. Close the round.
How venture capital works, what investors expect at each stage, and where your startup needs to be to raise.
Most founders pitch VCs without ever stopping to understand how venture capital actually works — how funds are structured, what partners are incentivised by, and what kind of business they're built to fund. You'll get that inside view, so you can position your startup, shape your narrative, and design a business model wired to win VC backing.
Drawing on conversations with 100+ investors across Singapore and Southeast Asia, we give you clear benchmarks for what investors expect at each stage — across traction, team, product readiness, customer validation, market and valuation. You'll know exactly where your startup sits today, what milestones to hit before your next round, and what to prioritise in between.
Know who to raise from across the full funding landscape — and walk out with a real investor pipeline to start working.
VC is just one of many ways to fund a pre-seed startup — and most founders never look beyond it. You'll learn how angels, family offices, VCs, corporate VCs, crowdfunding and government grants each work, what they look for, and which combination fits your stage, sector and long-term goals.
You'll learn how to identify the right investors for your venture, build a prioritised pipeline, and execute a structured outreach strategy across both warm and cold channels. You'll leave with the tools, frameworks and templates to begin outreach with confidence — and run a real fundraising process from day one.
Walk out with a deck and data room that meet investor expectations from pre-seed through to Series A.
Drawing on thousands of decks reviewed and accelerator founders coached to funding, we break down the exact structure investors expect, the narrative arc that holds attention, and the data that actually matters. You'll craft your story slide by slide — and walk out with the strongest deck you've ever built.
Your data room grows in importance from pre-seed to Series A — and most founders only realise this when they're caught off guard. You'll get a clear checklist of exactly what investors expect at each stage, plus the best practices and structure to ensure yours is complete and ready before you start raising.
The full fundraising process, from first investor email to closed round — plus the tactics, timing and strategies to run it well.
Fundraising goes wrong when founders skip phases or run them in the wrong order. You'll learn the first three phases of the end-to-end process — from preparation through early investor engagement — and exactly how each one builds confidence, sharpens your pitch, and generates the credibility and momentum your round needs.
This is where your raise gets executed — expanding your pipeline across networks and channels, driving urgency, managing follow-ups, and handling investor conversations at scale. You'll walk out with the tactics to close your round cleanly, and the professionalism that opens doors for your next fundraise before this one is even done.
Alex started raising capital for early-stage startups in 2016 at Angels Den, one of Europe's largest investor networks, contributing to 30+ investment rounds in two years. He was then recruited to build the University of Oxford's pre-seed accelerator programme, leading it for four and a half years and growing a 42-company portfolio. Those companies have gone on to raise over $400m from funds including SoftBank's Vision Fund, Insight Partners, Northzone, Dawn VC and Octopus, alongside leading angel investors.
Before moving to Asia, Alex supported the incoming Techstars MD with their first cohort programme, then joined Berlin-based pre-seed and seed fund Angel Invest in a special projects role — working with the General Partner to build Europe's largest venture capital fund manager database, then transitioning into LP fundraising.
He's been based in Singapore for the last two years, meeting hundreds of investors and founders across Southeast Asia — and built this programme specifically for the AI founders raising here.
Built for AI founders preparing to raise their pre-seed round in Singapore and Southeast Asia — typically targeting $250k–$2m+. It works equally well for founders months away from their first investor email and those already in active conversations.
The programme is built and led by Alex Feyler. Over the last decade he's helped founders raise more than 160 pre-seed and seed rounds globally, built and led the University of Oxford's pre-seed accelerator, and is now based in Singapore working with AI founders across Southeast Asia. Full bio above.
The programme is completely free. We believe every AI founder deserves access to high-quality fundraising education — no hidden fees, no upsells, no equity asks.
The two days are split across four modules — VC Mindset, Capital & Outreach Strategy, Investment Documents, and End-to-End Fundraising — taking you from how VCs think to closing your round. The full breakdown is in the Programme Overview section above.
Two full days — usually taking place on a Thursday and Friday — from 9:30am to 5:30pm SGT each day. You'll also get a 45-minute 1:1 office-hours call the following week to apply what you've learned to your specific raise.
In-person in Singapore. The workshops, peer feedback, and hands-on coaching work best face-to-face — and the small cohort lets you actually build relationships with the other AI founders in the room.
You'll leave with everything you need to run your raise — a working investor pipeline, a deck and data room ready to share, and a clear end-to-end execution plan. You'll also get a 45-minute 1:1 office-hours call the following week, and lifetime access to our alumni community of past-cohort founders for ongoing peer support.
Don't waste 3-6 months raising the wrong way. Apply for our next upcoming cohort.
